An experienced yet fresh dancer in the Chicago area scene, Serafina is a talented, family-friendly belly dance performer who entertains her audiences with an intriguing, feminine and edgy style.
Serafina has been captivated by the beauty of belly dance ever since she was a little girl, and in 2001 she found her first instructor. So her journey began... to learn the dance form that enchanted her in her youth. She went on to study with several instructors and performed in numerous local "haflas" (belly dance parties) and fundraisers. After the wonderful experience of being a co-director of a professional belly dance troupe for several years, in 2007 Serafina took in her first students and eventually created her own semi-professional troupe named Shillah.
